About Us
Taransvar (translated as Rise Up and Take Responsibility in Norwegian) is a start-up non-profit telecommunications service provider that aims to give a significant contribution to poverty eradication efforts being done globally.
While most social development programs rely on getting grants from funding agencies, we have a unique approach in generating funds for such programs by working with telecommunication companies as a reseller of products such as IP telephony, mobile, land line, and ADSL services. All profits from reselling these services are then re-invested into social and humanitarian projects on housing, education, and employment. By doing so, the sustainability of our development programs is assured.
We can help improve the lives of marginalized individuals, and make them live with dignity. We believe that by working hand in hand with companies and individuals that echo our values and support our vision and mission, we can make a difference in this world.
