There are many approaches on how to fight cyber crime. Our idea is that the most effective way to ensure that the Internet will remain as a safe tool for anybody is by establishing a global protected network for everybody who accepts the measures required to establish law and order.

Currently malicious traffic is often just rejected by firewalls, but in CyberSchengen, we investigate any incidence of infected computers inside CyberSchengen; while the traffic passing through the gateways will be inspected carefully. This is the same method as any organization would use to implement a secured network. By joining CyberSchengen they can add another layer of security at a very low cost.

There are controversies regarding any restriction put on Internet use. With CyberSchengen, these restrictions are voluntary. You are free to join or stay outside the CyberSchengen.
